It's not a horrible problem that I *need* to fix, but it's very inconvenient and I would really appreciate the help. I'm not even sure if my theory is correct, since we never got to fix my friend's 1.17 Minecraft either. If anyone has an idea of what the problem is, please enlighten me of it. A friend of mine has put together a server, but it keeps saying that I cant connect to server. I'm thinking I have to do it manually, but not sure what app/program I should allow in the firewall. But I will add that I tested out 1.17 and it did give me the prompt. The Minecraft that was opened using CurseForge never gave me that prompt when I clicked multiplayer. My theory is, if the prompt doesn't show up for the user to click "Allow," the user won't be able to join servers that had to be port forwarded or something like that (I'm not good with the intricacies of internet). We found out that she had no prompt (the one that comes up after you open multiplayer for the first time and asks if you want to allow Minecraft through the firewall or something like that) never showed up for her. When I try to join using a launcher from CurseForge (either with installed mods or none), I get the error "io.$annotatedconnectexception connection timed out." My other friend who also plays on the server, has the same error using a normal Minecraft launcher when joining our 1.17 server. In the past, I've just been using the normal Minecraft launcher, which worked, and still works if I use the normal Minecraft launcher (we are trying to play on 1.16.5 atm). Refer to our Troubleshooting guide to repair your installation. Im having issues logging in to Microsoft version of Minecraft through the CurseForge launcher.
